IMPORTANT TO READ BEFORE LASER TREATMENT

STAY OUT OF THE SUN

Please note that this process extends over several months, and it's important to avoid tanning during this time. If sun exposure is unavoidable, we strongly recommend covering the treated area with clothing or using a tattoo cover for added protection.

For optimal results, we advise keeping the tattoo out of direct sunlight for at least four weeks prior to your scheduled laser session. Tanning immediately after treatment may lead to adverse reactions, including blisters and potential scarring.

MANAGE EXPECTATIONS

Laser tattoo removal is usually successful, though complete removal isn't always possible. Sometimes a faint image may remain. Before starting please read all the information here to understand the process fully.

Multiple treatments will likely be necessary. Although you may observe changes after a single session, Sam will likely work with you to develop a treatment plan spanning several months or longer depending on various factors. Typically 5 to 10 treatments are required.

YES, IT CAN HURT…

This wont be a relaxing treatment, however if you can handle the feeling of having a tattoo you will be able to cope with the removal. It feels somewhat like an elastic band snapping against your skin, however it is quick! Depending on the size of the area the laser removal itself can be as quick as 30 seconds. Please DON’T take ibuprofen or anti-inflammatories before the procedure as these can effect your blood flow, however paracetamol is fine.

HEALING TIME

Healing after laser treatment takes 4 to 8 weeks. This varies based on treatment type, immune strength and aftercare. Staying hydrated and keeping your immune system healthy can speed up the process.

Blistering and scabbing are common during healing. Resist the urge to pick at your skin as this can lead to infection and delay healing. Let scabs fall off naturally and allow blisters to drain on their own.

Smokers should keep in mind that smoking slows healing and increases risks like scarring or infection. Try to cut down as much as possible if you can't quit completely.
